Omu axiu

Omuaxiu is a typical old country house.

It belongs to Vargiu’s family since 1500. In fact “omu axiu”, in Sardinian language, means Vargiu’s house.

Here you can find a fascinating “embroidery museum” where are displayed dresses,  bottom drawer and a lot of other antiques  belonging to Vargiu’s family.

Also there is a typical restaurant that is located inside in a large room once used for grinding cereals and outside on the porch (sa lolla) where you can test typical and traditional foods.

With the cooking classes you will discover the foods-processing especially pasta and the baking – process of bread and, if you want, you’ll be able to learn how to make the bread.   

Furthermore, Omuaxiu offers visitors to Orroli the chance to stay in its nearby hotel.
