ARCHAEOLOGY GOS

A journey through time, discovering the origins of Sardinia.

In 2001, the archaeological sites located in the territory of Goni, Orroli and Serri came together in the association GOStour Sardegna, the acronym GOS consisting of the first letters of the name of the villages:

Goni, Orroli and Serri boasts a privileged position, being reachable in about 1 hour drive from Cagliari, the capital city of Sardinia, and from the East coast, well-known for its astonishing sea.

This unique region, characterized by the rugged beauty of wild landscapes and the gentle calm of the enchanting lakes Flumendosa, Mulargia and Is Barroccus, bears the fascinating traces of its distant past, ancient traditions and natural attractions: nuragic villages and shrines, menhirs, domus de janas, giants’ tombs and the sacred wells, linked to the worship of water, in a territory ideal for hiking and outdoor activities.

GOStour offers the chance to visit these three mystical and ancestral archaeological areas separately or with a combined ticket.

Visitors are welcomed by specialized staff and can take advantage of various services: bar, souvenir shop, picnic area and playground. The wide spaces available are the ideal setting for outdoor visits and activities in complete safety.
